August 28 We are still segregating . . . Is it right ?During this nationally acclaimed Democratic Convention airing all day, night and during what is supposed to be commercial-time, the Democratic political party and its fellow members--we the people (yeah right as if that term stands true anymore) are placing themselves in a awkward
position, and probably don't know it or care. The act of describing yourself as either Democrat or Replublican separates, not integrates, humans in the same predicament facing the same challenges over the same course of time.
The only difference is how well either a Republican or Democrat is paid or served with a real opportunity to be paid better. It seems that this country wants change but has to decide which political party will deliver the most effective, if any. Now we know the current candidates
running for the Democratic side are all for change now, but can we be assured that their views, opinions and basic promises will be enabled and acted upon to promote the 'change' we desperately expect, seek, deserve ?
When I say awkward I simply mean does a true Democrat or Republican feel they are better or worse than the other and why? If we are all significant contributions to the over-all 'human condition', then we are all human, and it is the stand we make politically that turns us against one another. Should we disregard the labelling of ourselves as either devout Democrats or Republicans, come together as concerned humans regarding the continuation of the experiment, 'the human condition', and stop cajoling segregation even if it is the politically-correct way to assert ourselves in the economic flux of living ?
